On The Trails
ON THE TRAILS is a new page and is in addition to the Trails Page.
ON THE TRAILS will be information on what's happening on the trails throughout the season. Trailmasters Angelo and George will keep you up to date on trail conditions and they will also need your feedback with any suggestions.
The Trails Page is more of a permanent posting about our trail system, such as maps, safety and other important information people should know about our trails.

November 16 2008, Mike and Angelo were out building a bridge but could not move a boulder estimated at a 1 1/2 tons. Wondering what to do, Mike said to Angelo "look" and over the hill came ATVs. It was Richard and his gang from Portland, up hunting. They all pitched in to help and in no time the boulder was moved to a new resting place. Thanks guys!!.

MIKE & THE NEW BRIDGE
ANGELO
Mike, Patty and Angelo were out planning for a new bridge and on the way we tried to convince a beaver to move.
SITE FOR NEW BRIDGE A BEAVER MOVED IN The Old Onawa Rd area has been graded by the logging company, so that means they will be logging soon. We hope they will be done before the snow flies. It ill be nice if they graded it back to this condition when they are finished logging.
YOUR CLUB WORKING FOR YOU After the bad winter with all the snow, it did a lot of damages to the trails when it started to melt. Culverts were washed out, and members of the snowmobile club and atv club worked together to get the trails back to riding condition. Excavators have been rented and many trails have been improved by widening, removing boulders and graded.

We are strategically installing wood coverings over our signs along our trails to protect them from the weather. These strategic signs will not only give directions in the near future, they are also numbered and will have a GPS coordinate. Our web page and maps will have legends of these strategic signs. In case of any emergency you will be able to let help know where you are on the trail by giving them the number closest to you.
The first suggestion the trailmasters received came from from Patty King. She suggested that we have Telephone Booths along the trail to make phone calls. WOW! Telephone Booths! Is that possible? Yes, it is! Just think about it! We will have some before the winter is over. GREAT IDEA PATTY!!
